Regulating Your Piano

The piano is an amazing instrument in its intricacies. There are numerous wood, plastic, cloth, and metal parts that make up the action and the inner workings of the piano. Over time and with use, these parts will start to wear. Often piano tuners are called upon to do slight regulation of keys and other areas that the customer brings to the technician's attention.

Voicing the Piano
Pianos can be made to sound better by keeping them in tune to an A440 temperament. There are other ways to help improve and change the sound quality. A piano can be tuned regularly and still not have that nice sound you are desiring. It may be that the piano has a dull tone color and you wish to have a brighter sound. There are things that your technician can do to tweak the sound and the personality of the piano's sound.

Repair

There are a number of things that can be done to fix your piano. As far as complete repair and reconditioning of a piano, I am not able to take on that task. There are some amazing piano craftsmen that can take on that task.
